Hi everyone. Thanks for visiting! This site will be the new national at-home dad hub, updating, building upon, and modernizing the much-appreciated work that started at slowlane.com years ago. The plan is to have an up-to-date community website that is structured to be sustainable and updateable over time - we want this to be more than just a forum, yahoo group, or blog site.

We're just getting started and we need your help to keep the ball rolling. The most important thing that we need is your participation - register for an account (free), visit the discussion forums to post something meaningful or just to say hello, vote on the polls, invite a friend to the site, spread the word, and just visit, use the site, and enjoy it. Please promote the site to other dads through your website or conversations. Going forward, we will be adding content and providing ways for everyone to contribute content of their own.

If you'd like to be involved in a more substantial way, visit the "Website Discussion" forum on this site - we will have conversations about the site there and will generally use that forum to organize our efforts in an informal, low-pressure, way. We'd like to include anyone that's interested. Here are just a few of the things that could be useful:

-Gathering and organizing various existing content (links to other sites, some of the existing information on slowlane.com, etc)

-Figuring out how the information should be organized

-Participating on the message boards and other areas to keep things interesting until there's enough of a regular audience for the activity to be self-sustaining.

-Moderating/editing/approving articles and other items to keep things clean and professional

-Writing original content and articles that people may find interesting
