Are those free days for the museum free to just chicago residents or for everybody?
When I lioved in the city, I remember that you could go to the library and pick up special passes that let you into a lot of the museums for free (if you were a Chicago resident). Is that still true?

The Museum of Science and Industry Free Days are open to everyone.
The Chicago Public Libary has special passes for free admission to Chicago Museums if you hold a Chicago Libary card. Inquire at your local libary.

Yes, Chicago residents can check out museum passes at Chicago libraries that allow them free access to any museum for one week. This is a nice perk to city dwellers.
Anyone can take advantage of a museum's 'free day.' Many museums have them one day a week.
I would rather plunge red hot knitting needles in my knees than endure any of the museums on a free day. The only thing that is worse is a tie between Wal-Mart a week before Christmas and a free day on a day that there is no school.
Memberships are the way to go..then you can go on days when the place is empty and really enjoy it!
The program through tthe library system is a great bonus of being a city resident...which I am not.

Dave,
Tell us how you really feel about it. Don't hold back. We want to know your true feelings about free days.

I'm about 7 hours north of the new Peoples Republic of Kalifornia's newest sport, homesliding. The worst damage I had was my newspaper was soaked through to the third page.
We got rain, but nothing like they did down south.
Also, (I should probably put this in the convention forum), but I just got interviewd again by another newspaper about being an AHD, and made sure the convention got a few mentions. We have started a central valley, CA dads group, and I have a few guys from here interested in going.
And Dave,
you aren't the type to go walk through the stores a week before Christmas as slow as you can, just to be a nuisance to hurried shoppers??? I used to love doing that.

If you do see me in a store after Black Friday, I have sharpened my elbows and glued thumbtacks on the outside of the shopping cart......Wal Mart in December is truly as close as we will get to Hell on Earth.
Actually, driving real slow in the parking lot gives me more of a sadistic thrill.
Hows about if you get mentioned in an article, post a link here so we all can enjoy it?

What? I am not properly conveying the warm and fuzzy feeling Free Days give me?..much like swallowing a sea urchin whole?
Really, my guys are too active to try to keep track of in an environment that is similiar to Wal Mart 2 weeks before christmas.
Has your house slide into a ravine yet?

Will do. It is supposed to run on Tuesday, so if they post it online, I'll add a link.
