Two good sources for on-line clothes, toys, ect in addition to household goods are...
Freecycle.com
Curbcycle.com
These are Yahoo group lists. Basic rules are....
1. You must offer items for free.
2. You must identify yourself as a reseller if you are.
3. You generally need to post an OFFER, before you can post a WANTED. (Depends on the individual list).
4. Can OFFER or WANTED just about anything that isn't alive or illegal.
Both lists are broken down into regions so you can target areas in your driving range.
Have fun!
Re: On-line gear exchanges
Another place to browse for stuff on line is Craig's list:
http://chicago.craigslist.org
They have a classifieds section for baby and kid gear:
http://chicago.craigslist.org/bab/
The stuff here is offered for sale. When perusing this section, I didn't notice any free items. People also post their "wants" here. I can't vouch for the quality or price. I do know that we sold our old car using the want ads on Craig's List last year, and that exchange went well.
