Leveling a swingset help

I just finished putting together one of the swing set kits and need to make sure it's level on the piece of ground we want it. I have about a 14 inch change in elevation from one end to another. We are using mulch as a base beneath the playground and my first thought was to build up mulch and use concrete pavers or wall caps beneath corners to suppport the equipment. I wanted to see if there were any other suggestions before I try this since mulch is likely to settle over time and I'd like to avoid having to address the issue every few weeks.

Thanks, Chris

Pavers may not be good for this difference

14" is a big deviation, and most likely with the amount of movement the swingset is going to have, it's going to move out of level due to rain or playtime. I would suggest trying to cut at least half of that elevation down by bringing the high side down and building up the low side with top soil so the whole thing is level by packing it all down and blending it in, then add the mulch over the entire area.

I think pavers would eventually slide and you'll be re-leveling it sooner than you want. If you use pavers, I would only use them as a barrier to prevent the top soil and mulch from moving.

Your best bet is to bring

Your best bet is to bring the high end of the swingset down and level with the other end and creating a small retaining wall of some sort instead of bringing the low side higher (which will settle unevenly)
