Is anyone interested in being a media contact?

Hi All -

I'm getting occasional requests from various reporters, producers, and other media people. They usually want to do some story on stay-at-home dads. I'd generally consider that a good thing.

From what I can tell, procrastination is a way of life for most of these folks - they all seem to have deadlines that are unbelieveably short. Usually, I'm not quite able to round up a representative or do it myself on such short notice.

So...I'd like to develop a list of people who would be willing to give an occasional interview and otherwise put a good face on stay-at-home dads. My thought would be to just give the reporter my precompiled list of names/numbers/emails and let let them call around to find someone who's available and can do what they want. You could, of course, accept or decline the request as you wanted.

If you'd be willing to do an occasional interview and similar things, and don't mind me passing along your name and number, please email me (mike@digitalaltitudes.com) with your contact info. I'll pass along your name the next time something like this comes up.

If you have any discussion-worthy thoughts on this topic in general, please post your thoughts here.

Thanks,

Mike
