Hello guys, I am a SAHD for me and my wife's 6 year old daughter. She has ADHD so that can make it rough sometimes. I became the SAHD because I am unable to work because of some disadilities I have, I had brain surgery and back surgery plus there are many other problems but too many to list. I am trying to get a small local group started here in Crossville with a couple other dads I know that are SAHD or are soon becoming a SAHD so we can all get some help from each other whether it be get the kids together for play dates and some time to be around other guys and not stuck at the house. a;sp sp others can learn from the experiences we have been through or just ask each other questions if unsure what to do.

Good luck!
Awesome to have you here and awesome that you are starting a Dad's Group! We do have a group in Knoxville which is, well, sort of close. You can get a lot of great info on starting up an at-home dads group on our corporate website, www.daddyshome.org, under 'Group Support.'
Keep checking in on this forum for help and advice and don't forget to consider attending the 16th Annual At-Home Dads Convention in Washington DC on October 8!
