Well, I've been an at-home dad for about three months now (my daughter, Audrey, is six months old). I just found this website while looking for groups in Chicago. I have recently moved here and don't know a soul!
Somebody needs to take me out for a drink! ;-)

Welcome G-Man...glad you joined us. You have probably found the local Chicago at-home Dads group...if you haven't, be sure to go to http://www.chicagodads.com/ ... getting hooked up with other AHDs and some playgroups is very VERY highly recommended.

Where do you live? You should go to the Chicago City Playgroup if you are living in the city. There are usually 7-10 dads there each Thursday morning. There is also a monthly Dads' night out. Last month we met at FEED THE BEAST in Lincoln Square and 16 dads showed up.
If you are in the 'burbs, there is an active playgroup northwest of the city. They also have monthly DNOs.
I just moved out of Chicago, so I won't see you at the playgroup this Thursday. You should definitely go and meet some of the guys. Everyone is friendly and laid-back.
