That looks fantastic!
I'm a diehard Batman fan and I think both these films directed by Chris Nolan are gerat. Obviously the second one hasn't come out yet. I like the uise of regular make up for the Joker rather than that wierd ass face thin the the 89 Batman.
You a Batman man TicTock? The new "All Star Batman and Robin The Boy Wonder" is being written by Frank Miller and is phenominal.
I think the Akira turn is originaly from "The Great Escape."
Be Seeing You.

Actually, I'm a Savage Dragon man. But, the movie looks kick ass.
You're the first person I've heard who has recommended the All Star series. Lots of people have complained that Jim Lee's art doesn't match Frank Miller's writing. I haven't check it out, so I can't say either way.

I would guess in these days of highly styleized or personalized illistrators Jim Lee's art may seem "old school" like John Byrne or someone like that. Everytyhing looks "real" rather that the screwed up in the head crazy world of Frank Millers mind. I think Jim Lee is very evocative and hits all the right notes. People may be upset that MIller isn't doing it becasue it gives his Batman work more value later, I dunno.
My problem with it is it comes out only 6 times a year! It's been going on since 05. I had to go to a store in Westcheswter (my in-laws live there) to get all the back issues.
Gotta say though, I think this is Millers best Batman. He is at his most sadistic, most arogant, most driven. I think it's well worth cheking out as is both "Batman and the Monster Men," and "Batman and the Mad Monk," by Matt Wagner. They were so good my wiife read them.
Be Seeing You.

Yeah that trailer's nice, but check this out...it's a standalone short (6min) trailer that was shown before I Am Legend IMAX show in Chicago. Obviously a non-authorized recording so check it out before it gets pulled from YouTube! A buddy says it reminds him of the movie Heat.
This movie is gonna be sick!

Now usually I am a "Make Mine Marvel" guy (I have high hopes for Iron Man) but the things that DC does right they do really well, It makes me want to go rent "Mr. Mom" saying "I'm Batman" again (after that snickers commercial will that statement ever be the same?) I can not wait for the new movie!
