Reaccurring Nightmare

Yesterday we were house hunting. We were about to leave one particular house when the agent said, "Oh, look at this." I opened the closet and looked up. It was a passage to the attic area. There were wooden rungs attached to the wall to climb up. It was dark and cramped. There was enough light to be able see a little ways, but not much. All of a sudden, I had a flash of a nightmare that I have had many times. In the dream I am in a big, old house climbing through the walls and passageways trying to avoid the creepy bad guy.
The feeling of nightmare was so strong, I quickly told the agent I was freaking out a little and got the f--- out of there. Even now, while writing this, I am totally creeped out.

Good luck...

...teaching your little girl about the boogeyman who lives under the bed! By the way, it's "recurring". Another quick English 101 lesson brought to you by the resident typo cop. Just think of how your IQ is soaring just coming here! OK...I know...that was stretching it...

I actually spelled in right the first time and looked it and thought, "Now that just doesn't look right."

A link to someone who can help

is http://tinyurl.com/yre7c6. When you see someone suffering from nightmares, you have to think: "OK, am I going to help, or am I not going to help because I'm too afraid to help?" Because you know you're the only one who can really help...

Buy It!

You should definitely buy that house, Matt. It would give us a lot of fun posts here from you. :P

That Feeling.

Matt,
As you slowly climbed those wooden rungs nailed to the wall, do you remember how your head felt a little lighter and the air seemed a little thinner and cooler? When your face finally entered the dark space above, did you feel a little chill running up your back and neck?

That is what is known as "The dead feeding on the living." The tortured spirits of those that lived in the house before and the evil that dwelled with them, still reside in that dark space. They needed your energy and they beckoned you to stop and look at the ladder before you left the house. They pulled you toward it and lured you up into their world just long enough to steal some of your life's energy.

Now that they have tasted you, they will become insatiable. They will continue to haunt your mind and beg you to return to that house. Do not be surprised if one day, you find yourself randomly driving through that same neighborhood again.

I just spit Coke out my nose.

JPhillip, I bow before you. Where, of where, can I learn such mad torturing skills?

In the Navy.

Will,
Have you really forgotten your Army days? In the Navy, a small submarine crew needs to be able to count on each other 100%. So, a great deal of time is spent mentally torturing new guys to see which ones will crack.

Ah yes

And my dad was a Corpsman with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd MARDIVs as well, so I know most of them. Problem is, I can't have Matt a hammer and a piece of chalk and tell him to go check for soft spots on the track. Or send him looking for I-D ten tango forms.
