Forum Posting Guidelines

Here is a summary of our forum posting guidelines. The purpose of these rules is to make the site a welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone, while letting people be themselves. Thanks for your cooperation.

1) Do not post content that is, in a reasonable and average person's view, objectionable. No nude or explicit photos.

2) Do not harass, threaten, insult or do anything else to another member of the site that is unwanted. This means: don't say bad things about them; don't keep sending them unwanted messages; don't invade their privacy, etc.

3) Remeber that text doesn't communicate vocal tone. This can make it very difficult for readers to determine whether you're joking or have some other intention. Make your meaning very clear somehow - say "just kidding", use emoticons :-), or whatever it takes.

4) If an angry misunderstanding or dispute occurs, all involved parties should take responsibility for putting it to rest politely and quickly regardless of the cause.

5) Put your posts in the appropriate forum for the topic.

6) Don't attack the race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc of others or post material that may be considered offensive in this way.

7) If you disagree with someone, respond to the subject, not the person.

8) No spam.

9) Remember that your children, parents, spouse, friends, future employers, media researching at-home dads, and the entire rest of the world may read your comments here for years to come. Also, remember that you are a representative for at-home dads as a group. Conduct yourself accordingly. Be yourself, say what you think, and discuss what you want, but do so in such a way that brings respect to you and at-home dads in general.
