The new construction on the site really helps to divide the lines and lets you post more accurately.
Thanks for all the work

Would really love to have those options available if you have the time. Especially the quote function.

Quote me on this- we need quotes! :)

Ok, you now have buttons to try. They were actually there in an older version of the site, I just needed to turn them back on. So, that is a quick solution to try for now - if they're no good, I'll put it on the longer-term to-do list.

Articles

I know that there is a category tab for "articles," but many of the things in that category seem to be articles for Dads. I was wondering if it could somehow be easily subcategorized to include articles about Dads as well. I was just looking at the difference between that Nashville article and the DCDads article. I thought it might be neat to have them kinda clumped together. Just a thought.

I know nothing about putting together webpages, though, so if this would be a pain, forget it.

Buttons

Probably a good rule of thumb for me is "if you don't know what something does, don't mess with it", but can someone explain what the code button and the teaser break do?

Code and teaser break

The code button is for techie geeks - it's not really applicable to this site. I should just remove it, but it's there for now. It formats things in a font where each character is the same width so that it's evenly aligned from line to line. This is primarily useful for quoting computer program code. Here's an example that even some non-techies may remember from that computer class they hated in high school:

10 print "hello world"
20 goto 10

The teaser break is for writing stories (i.e. front-page articles). Wherever you put before the break is what's shown on the front page listing, everything after the break is shown only when you click the "read more" link.

High school? Someone's really showing their age. I was doing that all the way back in first grade. ;)
