OK- since I'm normally one of the last folks to hear about something on the internet this has probably been seen by many of you before. I just stumbled upon a site called "garfield minus garfield" and it's pretty funny- especially if you ever see the lame cartoon run in the papers.

The introduction to the site describes it best:
Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?

That's a funny concept. I hate Garfield. I will always hold a little something against Bill Murray for voicing that evil, even though I love Murray in just about anything else he's ever done.

Oh that is brilliant!
Jim Davis embarked on "Garfiled" as a bisness venture. He researched whatt people liked, cats, what they drank, coffee, what their fave ethnic food was, Italian. The whole Garfield thing was never intended to be anything other than a money genrating machine, syndicated, and spun off and merhcandized as far as was able. Which appears to be pretty far.

I was never a Garfield fan either.

All of the comments are further proof that I'm the last person to know about something on the internet! Next you all are going to tell me that some websites offer images of lovely ladies in various stages of undress or something.

Not me. I know nothing of sites that show such images.

Reminds me of an email a friend recently sent me:
So a buddy of mine, Kurt in CA, tells me this story of how his friend sent
him a link to the Lindsay Lohan recreation of Marilyn Monroe pics in New
York Magazine (see link). Kurt is talking to the guy on the phone and is
urged to do a Google search for "Lindsay Lohan pussy." No problem.

A couple days later, Kurt is talking to his wife on the phone, and she's
at the computer. (You know where this is going.) He tells her to do a
search for something, and she's in mid-sentence when she says, "You did a
search for Lindsay Lohan's pussy?" He tried to explain, but she cut him
off. "What are you, a 12-year-old boy??" He continued to explain when
she cut him off with "whatever" and hung up.

Let this be a lesson.

AMR- that was pretty funny. I'll never forget (as much as I'd like to) working on my dad's computer a couple of years ago and looking for some drivers that I'd recently downloaded. I clicked on the internet history button since I'd just been to the site and was greeted with all kinds of XXX site names he had visited in the last week. It was very uncomfortable because he was standing over my shoulder watching. At least it wasn't like, videos of my parents or something, but still!

That must have been quite a moment, JMP. Gaming -- clearing your browser's history doesn't clear your google searchbar history (not that I know to take that additional step for any reason or anything . . . ).

Let's give a 12 year old more credit. A 12 year old, who probably knows more about computers than most of us -Will I exclude you and the other IT guys here - would never have been caught.

Like a horney sniper a 12 year old boy would have crept up on his target and disappeared into the shadows long before any evidence that he had been there would surface. Besides, one could merely go to the book store and look through the New Yorker.

At 12 I would have been to afraid that the moment my folks sat down to the comp it would adopt an authoritarian voice and announce that I had been looking at Lindsay Lohan’s tid-bits.

My wife read your post AMR and said, “If I found you searcing for celebrity pu—y I would never stop laughing. Besides all those 20 somethings have “accidental” shots of there waxed va-jay-jay.”

Hum this is a long way from Garfield.
