I have pictures of our recent safari taken by my son with box cameras in a slide show on my Blog to see what his vacation was like through his eyes. There are some mixed in taken by us ‘grups because our digital just wasn’t handy and we would end up carrying his at his request; so instead of letting the moment slip by forever, we shot it.
If you do this on your next vacation, don't waste cash on underwater box cameras, I have spent years telling him you can't get a camera wet and now I was telling him it was 10 4 to take a camera underwater.
His aim and landscape positioning were great thanks to home practice with a digital and my camera phone.
The first gazillion or so shots were taken with a underwater camera while snorkeling (but mostly right then left shots of the horizon but they eventually come to an end). Instead of getting all of these gem shots developed, our grocery just burned ‘em to CD for 2 bucks. The slide show courtesy of Google Picasa web Albums.
We stayed at the RIU Playacar all-inclusive south of Playa del Carmen. The Corona Beers on the shuttle bus that picked us up from the airport was most awesome! Mai Tai's served at hotel check-in didn't suck either... You would never see this kind of service at home. I would highly recommend this vacation to anyone!
The coconot oil tanned senioritas were everywhere! I saw some good record setting tan lines, if they had tan lines! Yes...
