Free Cone Day
An annual event, held in late April or early May, in which Ben & Jerry's scoop shops give out free ice cream cones all day. This year's event, taking place on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, marks the company's 30th annual Free Cone Day.

Over one million free cones are given away each year, prompting the company's ad slogan "Be One In A Million." Charitable organizations are often present at the stores each year and enjoy a significant amount of fundraising success. Sometimes the event is scheduled to coincide with Earth Day and sometimes volunteers are on hand with clipboards and voter registration forms to help those who would like to register to vote.

The first Free Cone Day was held on May 5, 1979. It was done by Ben and Jerry as a customer and staff appreciation event for the one year anniversary of their ice cream store's opening. The 29th annual Free Cone Day was celebrated on April 17, 2007.

Vices

I have two vices that take hold of me and I can't do anything about it.
1. Bacon
2. Ben & Jerry's
Even the flavors that I don't like, I still eat 'cause they are so freakin' good!!

I have the same vices as you but a few more. As for Ice cream Ben & Jerry's is great but you have to try Graeters if you haven't already. They will ship it to you. This coming from a guy who lived in Vermont.

Ah Yes,

That hurts, but bad! But just maybe if you jog there, do 10,000 sit ups we can get "pardoned" and treat ourselves for reaching a goal! What goal I'm not sure, but you have to reward yourself! Right JPhillip?

I tried

Cake Batter last night and it was pretty amazing....then, I got a stomach bug and puked all last night and today. I don't think I can eat Cake Batter again.

been a long time

Thanks for the reminder, Josh. I used to eat B&J all the time - Super Fudge Chunk was my favorite. I have fond memories of getting high at my cousin's cabin on Lake Champlain and gorging on Chunky Monkey, Chubby Hubby and whatever else we could get our hands on!

Tomorrow's a perfect day for eating ice cream -- dreary weather, my son gets out early from kindergarten and we have nothing better to do than travel a few miles to Harvard Square to stuff ourselves!
