The always informative Colbert Report had a segment about Stay at home dads on his "Problems Without Solutions" segment last night. I think this link works if anyone wants to watch it.

For those who don't know, The Colbert Report is a fake news show.

Thanks for the link! That

Thanks for the link! That was too funny.

My favorite part was the Dad getting all giddy about his swiffer wet jet. And when Colbert appeared in the mirror groping his hot wife.

That made my day!

Oh my...

Could we start a fight with Colbert? That would be fun. :)

Pretty funny. "I voluntarily surrendered my manhood." That's a tshirt...

Thanks for that. Very funny. Didn't he cover the convention too?

Austin

Rumor has it that the featured dads were from Austin. Any Austin guys around here that want to comment or give us the inside scoop?

Thanks for posting!

That was hilarious! I love how they got the children to say "Daddy..." in a very downbeat way when questioned about who is raising them. "The Daily Show with John Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" are definitely one of the finer blocks of television on these days.

Yep, Austin

If you go to their site and click on the DNO (Dad's Night Out) photo, way in the back at the head of the table is the lead guy from the story, who's name I can't remember right now.

Yup, That was Austin

Hey Guys, I just found this site, and I look forward to exploring it more. That was our Austin SAHD group. I was the fat guy that they zoom in slowly on. We had fun shooting the piece and we knew that it was going to be tongue in cheek from the get go. They originally told us that Colbert would be fighting to start a SAHD Union. THat being said, there was A LOT of editing going on.

The SAHD (sad) segment

I saw the segment and was not amused.
I explain myself here http://hoorayforsaturday.typepad.com/hooray_for_saturday/2007/03/bends_your_back.html
It's nothing against the Austin Dad Group. I love that DADMAN t-shirt! They should sell them as fundraiser to go towards their dad's night out bill, I'd buy one.
