Hey GUys,
I know this is a thread that was touched on a while ago but I couldn't find it...oh who am I kidding I half heartedly looked for it.

Anyway here are some articles for concideration.

Alarming...

Wal-mart will phase out the bpa baby bottles too. I've actually phased them out of my own house in the past week to be safe. The government recently raised their level of concern to "some" concern. While the science is inconclusive, the preliminary studies are disconcerting to me. It seems like an easy thing to switch to safer baby bottles, so this skeptic went ahead and switched to a less controversial bottle. I encourage others to make their own choices- mine was made on a personal level and not a completely scientific one.

Incidentally, BPA is in so much crap that it would be nearly impossible to completely eliminate it from a house. And the worse offender for BPA contamination? Cans of baby formula. Unbelievable.

Bought new bottles, too

I bought Born Free brand Bisphenol-free bottles last week just to be safe. We used the old bottles for my son (he's almost 6) and he's fine, as far as we know. But why take a chance, we figured. The new bottles are glass, so I hope they won't break too easily. I also bought a few sippy cups for the future. With all the chemicals in the world, I'm sure buying these new bottles won't make much difference. But just seemed right.

Swap out

I bought sigg water bottles to replace our toddler's sippy cups, and I'm already skekptical about them. They have a water-based inner liner with a mysterious formula. Their web site indicates that independent testing show it's safe, but I don't know what to believe anymore.

Glass

The reason they started plastic bottles in the first place was because of all the dangers of glass baby bottles, with breakage and other things.

I'm for it

I'm all for more glass products. But I am beyond the bottle feeding age.
