Howdy All, We took a trip over the hill today to Sacramento this afternoon. We went to the railroad museum and walked around Old Town. This in a short walk from the hotel and had a lot of bars and fun things to do. There are also plenty of places in the Mall that is right next to the Hotel. Really looks like it will be a fun place to spend a weekend. Greg
Convention Area

It's over off of Fruitridge Rd. It's about 10 miles or so from the Hotel. You have to go East of the hotel, across Highway 99. Haven't tried it yet, but now hearing the menu, I may have to head up that way.

I noticed there are 2 airports listed for Sacramento. Which is the one to fly into if I have a choice for the convention?

Was apparently featured on the Food Networks Diners, Dives and Drive-in. On of my favorite shows. I did not see the episode, but the other places he chooses usually rock.
I did find the little dive I loved so much at 12th and I, about 6 blocks from the hotel. It was called something like Jim Denny's Hamburgers and Chili.

Sacramento's Airport is Sacramento International (SAC) The other one is Sacramento Executive and is for small planes.
The airport is a long way from the hotel so you will want to definitely think about other transportation besides a cab.

Actually it's SMF is the airport code for Sac international. If you can get a flight into sac executive, you're buying everyone at the convention a round. That's the corporate airplane airport.
Also, if you check out the convention site "Getting to Sacramento" page under the hotel and travel page, it has all the information there.
