About that Buddy List thing

I know most of you are going to laugh at me. I'm okay with that. :-) But what am I supposed to do with that "Buddy List?"

I mean, I guess that I consider most of you guys to be my "buddies" in one sense or another. And I have read several definitions on the internet about what a Buddy List is, which negates what I originally thought a Buddy List should be. But I guess I am just wondering why I would use a buddy list as opposed to putting my questions out there for all to see.... kinda like this one. Or I could use a private message, if privacy is an issue.

So. Laugh. Calm down. Wipe the tears of laughter. Answer my ignorant question. Laugh again and tell your wife so she can laugh too. Cheers.

no clue

I have no clue. I enlisted a few buddies and have signed up to be buddies to other guys, but I don't do anything with that information.

So you're not alone.

nothing

The buddies list adds just a touch of social networking to the site. It isn't meant to be anything except as a public statement of friendship or admiration. Maybe I'm wrong.

Same Here

That's how I view it ticktock. I do have a couple of 'real world' friends that are on there too, but it's just the guys that are my 'cyber network' friends even though there are only a few that I actually talk with outside of the website. It's just a way to make some interesting new friends.

Great, and thanks

Just give me a holler if I mark you down as a "buddy" and you don't want to be.

Or, to paraphrase the late, great Mr. Rogers: "Won't you be my... buddy?" (Can I have an eye-rolling groan from the audience, please?) Cheers!

Speaking of the Buddy List...

Is there a limit to how many will show up on your list? I've add a couple of people to my list recently and their names haven't shown up on my list, even though mine has shown up on theirs. Just curious about this.
