I've just become a SAHD in the last six months or so, watching after our five-year-old son that we adopted from Ethiopia almost two years ago. I spent the last few years in the aviation industry (haven't left it, completely) - big change from the cockpit & the office to playdates & Spongebob!

I am a new member also. In the short time I have been here, I have been linked to another SAHD in my area to meet. I have also learned a lot about some pretty interesting things. The group seems real supportive and real. It is nice having confirmation that although it may seem like you are going down this road alone, it is actually a pretty busy highway.
