So Landon took his first steps last night. I almost broke down. It really did hit me that hard to see him walk across the room to me. he turns a year old in two weeks. Where has the time gone. thats really all. Just thought an awesome accomplishment like that was worth sharing with everyone. :)

that's so cool

That's so cool! It's amazing to watch them at this stage, as they learn things so quickly, and get these great looks on their faces, mixing pride, surprise, skepticism and who knows what else. Now the fun really starts -- chasing him around all over kingdom come!

My daughter turns one on Sunday and she's been crawling all over the place for a few weeks, and pulling herself up and cruising. She's highly motivated, because she's got a 6-year-old brother. She's learning how to crawl up steps and seems like she's ready to start walking pretty soon.

Fantastic!

Congrats! Our daughter, Victoria, started walking recently and it was overwhelming. She was so excited but it was the first time we realized how quickly she is growing up. Enjoy every step and fall!

Congratulations to Landon!

When my son started taking his first steps at 11 months, we were excited beyond belief. He had been cruising since 9 months; my mom predicted that he would walk before his first birthday. I was skeptical. She was right. He eased into walking, though. The first couple of weeks he crawled/walked. Now, at 13 months, and he is practically running.

Way to go Landon

My wife is a little sad that we are loosing our little baby, but I have to say this seems to be the most exciting part for me now. Like Dave said, every day I stare in awe at how quickly this little boy progresses, becomes more independent and learns new things. Some just from watching us and nothing we really tried to teach him. I am really looking forward to the new types of interaction in store for us. This weekend we get to get everything and anything in his reach out of it. Good luck, have fun and keep us in the near posted as to any insight we may need to know.
