just passing through to check on you old geezers. Summer semester ends in 3 weeks and life will return to 'normal'.
Don't count me though cause I'm under 500, just here to do a check of your check. Don't mind me, I'll just be another minute or so.... looks good, alright... everything seems to be fine here ... and I'm outta here!

I can only dream of 500 points for now.

Leaving tomorrow for Cape Cod with the family. Looking forward to late-afternoon margaritas, early evening beers, lots of fried seafood, Cape League baseball, a trip on the Cape Cod Railway with my train-obsessed son, a bit of swimming, some wiffle ball, maybe some poker with my wife's brother-in-law and watching the All-Star Game while sprawling on the couch with built-in recliners and blasting the central air.

If only the place was mine....

1. Weather got better, so started going outside and getting out with the kids a lot more.
2. Mommy took the laptop away b/c she found out I was addicted to porn.
3. After I thought about it a while, I came to realize that At-home dads are kind of boring. (just kidding. sort of.)
4. I got really close to an at-home mom. I thought we were becoming great friends, then she pulled the plug b/c her hubby got too damn jealous. I was too pissed to post. (for months).
5. Mile-Hi Dad made me feel really really rotten.
6. I only get on the computer at night now (see #2) and so when I am online, I barely have enough time to swap wife pics with my friends, nevermind being able to read and post here.

I'm here, but I'm shifting my computer time to my blog. And I'm disappointed that there are not more non-dad topics because I've discussed sahd parenting ad nauseum. More geeky pop culture... less dad! I know, I know, I'm free to start a thread at any time, but see first sentence.

Plus, it's summertime. I'm completely unsurprised that participation is dropping off.

Hey all! Hope all is well with everybody! Yes, I am more than OK! Thanks for asking!

I basically just got burned out on SAHD stuff for a while, and I migrated my time to other things that were more interesting. Obviously, with it being an election year, I have been feverishly keeping up with things and participating heavily in political blogs. It is of the utmost priority to me that we get Barack Obama elected this year, so I have been doing a lot online to "spread the word." Second, we had the most beautiful spring/early summer up here in Ohio since I have lived here (10 years now). Due to that, my son and I were outdoors A LOT! Third, my wife and I worked for a good solid month on creating an exclusive playroom for my son. Let's just say that he loves it. I will have to post a picture of it for you guys. Lastly, my wife and I were trying to get pregnant for the second time.

I am happy to report that my wife is again pregnant (~10 weeks), and I am extremely busy trying to prepare our household for #2. I am going to move my son into a new room so that he can get a more kid-like room instead of the baby room. The closet in that room needs remodeling, and the room will get a full repaint and redecorate. Based on what #2 turns out to be, the baby room will either remain as is, or get a slight repaint for a girl. On top of this, I am trying to remodel my family room so as to incorporate my first large-screen LCD HDTV!

I do miss chatting with you guys, and I plan on stopping by more frequently since the VERY hot weather has finally hit.
