Pee on the Mailbox

This "rant" is courtesy of bad neighbors and their kids.

I wish I could just go outside once in awhile and not witness one of the next door neighbor boys (ages 5 and 7 I think) peeing on their yard, our yard, other neighbors yards and mailboxes. Although the parents don't approve, they have yet to stop the behavior. Recently the Mom told us (after she had a few drinks) how her 5 year old pooped in the yard a few weeks ago. She thought this was quite humorous. I thought "great... I thought that was just their dogs crap I was picking up."

If there was a book on how to raise an undisciplined child they could write it. Here is a tidbit of a few joys of our neighbors.

1. Peeing in yard
2. Dog poops in our yard (and my kids or I step in it)
3. The kids run through our landscaping and flowers
4. Fireworks lit off during the week after 10pm for the last 4 weeks (about 1-2 times a week)
5. Screaming kids up til at least 10:30pm - weekends and weeknights (I just want to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine in relative quiet once in awhile)
6. Dad snowblows a path between our houses so his dog can get to the side walk in the winter. Blows snow and ice into my house instead of his own.
7. Dog poops in my driveway in winter (thanks to that nice path he made)
8. Kids come over and break my kids toys
9. Kids come over and jump into the pool while my daughter is in it then pees in it, even though I am instructing to stay out and go home.

I know some of these are not too bad by themselves. There are more, but my blood pressure is rising as I type. I thought it was bad, but I realize when other neighbors are telling us they feel so sorry for us, that my anger is not misguided.

Anyone dealt with these type of neighbors before? Or just tell me your neighbor horror story so I feel better.

Call the cops

Easy solution to a lousy situation. Even better, call DHR or whatever the equivalent is in your area. Have them try to explain to the police and DHR why it's acceptable for their kids to piss in public like that.

wow

I thought I had it bad! My neighbors are pretty crappy too, though. We live in a townhouse so we share a wall with the neighbors who may not be straight from Hell, but definitely aren't a godsend either.

The neighbor is the typical spoiled kid, she's a new teacher in the NC school system, so she's making crappy money- fortunately for her someone in her family is loaded because she's living in an expensive townhome, driving a new BMW, had TV screens larger than our front door mounted on every wall, and the loudest surround sound system ever. Once and a while her folks will come down to visit (you can tell because they take over our small seven space parking lot with their oversized Hummers) and that's when the fun really starts.

A couple of months ago we woke up to someone hammering on the brick wall that separates our units at 12:30 at night. Woke my wife and me up, which was bad enough, but also woke up our then 15 month old daughter. I got dressed and calmly knocked on their door while my wife tended to the kid- the mom who was visiting answered and when I asked if they could stop hammering she told me that they "have lives too and will do whatever they want whenever they want". Well, at that I exploded- I don't even remember what I said, but I know it contained a lot of four letter words.

Don't they have...

a police department, public health department, postal department, animal control department, etc. and laws and ordinances about these things where you live?
Perhaps a few phone calls are long overdue. I'd say you've been a more than can/should be expected neighbor in the patience and letting things slide categories. Time to get after it my man.

video tape

take a video camera, tape all the goings on, give tape to local news station, embarrass the crap out of them, then take the tape to animal controll, the police, and dept of human services and see if they can do anything about it..i personally would tape it, invite all the neighbors over, including the offenders, and have a "movie" night.

Funny

That is some funny sh_t. no pun intended. The police should be called just to document events for later problems. There will be more issues coming. I once told the neighbor girl that if her boyfriend continues to pee in the street the police will be called and he will have a record for indecient exposure. The peeing stopped.
As for crazy neighbors, oh I have one wacky chick with her not so bright kids and a husband that I think is a cockhold.
I will add on next week whan i have time to write all the crazy stuff she has pulled. I should take a picture of her for JP. She got a boob job and wants everyone to notice them, Or just me notice them?

Calling the Cops

This has been discussed by my wife and I numerous times. I guess in the end we want to walk outside and be able to say hi, with a clean conscious. Maybe this is no longer possible in this case. Even tonight my wife had to call me to see if she should go tell the neighbors behind us (different than the rant neighbors) to turn off their HALOGEN Spotlight that lights up the whole neighborhood including our daughters room with the shades drawn.

Uggh...
