It is all too clinical. They should only be checking your prostate, not stimulating it! ;) Besides, I am sure they have seen a few prostate-checking boners.

Exit physical from the Army. Hot doc with great rack. Made the experience bearable.

..by my female family doc. It wasn't a big deal, which is not to say that I'd like to make it a regular part of my visits to the doctor. No boner, but it did feel like she'd hooked a tractor to a large turd in my bowel. Fortunately, the whole thing lasted about three seconds.

My advice is, as on all things medical, get a doctor you can trust to be professional and competent. Then, recognize that your body is not all that different from the dozens/hundreds of others s/he has dealt with before. Oh.. and don't ever run for elected office.

I've had mine checked twice and I can tell you that it was perhaps the least erotic experience of my life. It was definitely one of the more bizarre experiences I've had. Now that you brought this up, I'll be thinking about this thread at my next checkup.

After my prostate was checked I was sore for the next few days, so don't do it the day before you run a marathon.

You'll be surprised how NOT a big deal this is when it's finally over and done with. When it's happening, sex is pretty much the last thing on your mind so the unexpected boner is probably not going to happen. I've been going to a female doc for years now and she is awesome at making me feel comfortable about some very uncomfortable things she has to do to me (testicle exam, prostate exam, etc...). I'm guessing yours will do that too. I personally have never gotten a hard on from a doc doing this exam. And finally, when all is said and done, it's better to have it done and find any problem there maybe, than to not do it and die from something you don't know about until it's too late. I would say, if you are comfortable (as you can be) with your female doc for the rest of it...just let her do this too. She's a professional that you've trusted for everything else so you can trust her with this too.

As a side note, the last time I had this done I actually asked her if most of her male patients had her do this or is they went to a male doc for this. She told me that most of them do come to her and that it's usually the older men that opt for a male doc. I thought that was interesting.

Looking at the back-end of business... some patients are more hygienic than others... some probably stink. Ain't that sexy for them, I bet. Think about that during the exam and I am sure your little man will not come to attention. Of course, my doctor told me that she has done this countless times and she doesn't mind as long as the patient doesn't make audible sounds of pleasure.

When I was in Istanbul all the toilets had the "Mr Squirty" to clean yourself. I admit it was refreshing but I didn't always get the bullseye. I demured using the pay "squaters"- called alaturka in Turkey - as they didn't even have Mr Squrty, they had a jug next to a tap on the floor. 1 YTL to crap on you shoes and use your hand! Wow sign me up.

Agreed, it isn't like skee ball for the doc, so many exams and they get to pick out a prize.
