Not as much of an attack on Sarah Palin...

So, anybody see the open letter from Anne Kilkenny, longtime resident of Wasilla, Alaska?

Your thoughts? I don't mean to fan the flames of the Sarah Palin debate here...I personally don't like her.

To me she (Anne Kilkenny) seems open and honest. Doesn't have any particular agenda, even though she is a democrat. That is, it isn't hate mail or anything slanderous or purely judgmental like you might read in someone's blog or forum post. It's pretty interesting. I hear that she deleted parts to not make it sound too harsh or not make it sound too biased. Just her observations of having known Sarah Palin for many years in a small town.

It's a trap!

The evildoers want you to be discussing Ms Palin instead of actual issues.

John may have a point

John may have a point although I found the evildoers comment funny. The media and the blogs have jumped all over this and yes, I've been distratced by it too. Historically, the VP selection has meant little to the chances of a candidate getting elected. But the Palin choice has made the MSM a lot of of money and will continue making them money. It's a lot more exciting than arguing over the issues and/or leadership.

Smoke and Mirrors

Palin is a swicth-a-roo. She is a cloud of smoke the Republicans can hope to run behind. They cried "issues, and plans" but can't hold them selves to the same standard becsue they may have to admit their part, with W as it's rep, has faild on all counts.

" She is a successful and politically smart woman, but she is also a right wing extremist who tried to delete books she didn't approve of from the town library where she was mayor and tried to fire the librarian when that didn't work; who is a creationist and, like the current occupant of the White House, who has little use for science, whether it is the science of evolution or the science of global warming; who never had a passport until last year when she visited her National Guard troops in Kuwait. Otherwise a stranger to the world in which America must make its way.

She is a successful and politically smart woman, but she is not merely pro-life, she is a no-exceptions-never-mind-rape-or-incest pro-lifer who thinks woman have no right to participate in decisions about what happens to their bodies if they become pregnant. "

So, getting back on topic...

Sure there is a whole article, not necessarily the whole article of articles. Good one though.

I was just asking about Ms. Kilkenny's letter.

And I think John is right. It could very well be a trap to get you talking about Ms. Palin instead of the issues for which they [the Republicans] have no clue how to address.
