Hello,

I just found this site and it looks to be a good resource for me.

My name is Kelly and I have been a SAHD since March of 2007. I have to say that some days it is like "Ground Hog Day" (the movie) around my house. My wife works full time as a RN in the Labor and Delivery Dept. I was a Contractor and Firefighter in the past years leading up to my new job as a dad.

I shearch websites looking for groups that can understand my choice to stay home. My wife works nights and they are 12 hour shifts so I have never spent a night away from my 11 month old boy.

Well I will check back often as he still takes two naps a day.

Kelly

Yo Papa!

Welcome!

You are joining a great community here. Even though it can get a bit heated over political opinions as of late and what-not...you will find a very well rounded group of guys here. I hope you'll stop in often and join the conversations.

What part of the country are you in?

So it's raing

I kid I kid. :-)

How are you making out as an AHD? SOunds like you are doing OK. "Groundhog Day" can be good meaning youhave a good scheual for you adn the kids and it can be bad. meaning you feel no forward motion in you life.

Be Seeing You.

Nights

Welcome aboard! You've found a great place for SAHD's here.

I know how your routine must be with your wife's schedule; mine is a midnight pharmacist and works 7 days on 7 days off with the good ol' '12+ hour shifts. I know RNs usually have a more mixed up schedule though. I also work out of the house on weekends, so I rarely get out with my friends since they all have 'real' jobs :-)
