I've been doing the SAHD thing for two years. The first 20 months of it, I worked 2nd shift after keeping my son all day. I became unemployed a few mnths ago. I'm now just trying to find part time work to do a few evenings a week, to get out of the house, talk to people older than 2 years old, and make some extra money. I got my first call today, and have my first interview in thirteen years, this Friday. This is a retail job. I haven't worked in this field since I was in high school. Any pointers, things I should "rehearse" or have handy....typical questions, etc? Thanks in advance.
First job interview in 13 years!

I found that the Yahoo hotjobs site had some good interview tips the last time I was in the job market.

The Wall Street Journal also had some good advice. I also used some software called Interview Mastery that helped alot.

customers and honesty
As a retail manager for Advance Auto Parts and N.A.P.A for along time, i hired hundreds of people and what i always looked for is people that put the customer first and were offended by any type of theft....i used to have questions i would ask to see what people would do in a certain situation, so long as their answer showed they cared about the customers and that they were honest it didn't really matter about the actual meat iof the answer.....good luck
