Chefs, here is your chance to help the cooking-impaired. By popular demand, there's now a recipe section here. Click on the recipes link in the top menu. Please submit some recipes to get things started. Anything goes...no need to limit yourself to mac and cheese recipes.
Recipe feature is great!
I like the new recipe feature a lot... just to test it out I added the recipe for the pasta primavera I fixed last night (although I guess it is just kind of fancied up mac & cheese). I'll make sure I get lots of good tofu recipes out to you gentlemen in the near future. I'm sure you can't wait!
Thanks for starting the recipes
Jon - Thanks for getting us started. Glad you like it. Bring on the tofu recipes if you want.... :-)
I Hate To Say It...
But...
Is having the recipe feature going to carve a niche for this site? Food for kids/families written by dads?
Mike, it's a pretty cool interface to input recipes with you got going. Good Job!

Recipe niche
The intent of the recipe feature wasn't so much to "carve a niche"... it's just there because people (including you, I think) asked for it. So, we'll see what happens. If it did carve a niche, that would be pretty amusing.
For what it's worth, we've been getting a lot of hits from people searching for "Onion ring recipies". So, we are now famous experts on onion rings, getting toddlers to take medicine, and fitting plywood into minivans...
:-)
No more onions!
Is it possible to delete that entire thread and let MileHi add the recipe to the appropriate section now that exists? I know we're getting hits from it from search engines, but it drives me crazy that snarkiness and bitterness exhibited in there is the example of this site.
I made my bed, now I have to live in it? On a daily basis? I wish it would go away.
Ask MileHi...
MileHi....can you add the famous onion ring recipe to the recipies section? :-)
OK Gentlemen
I posted the onion rings in the recipe section as you already know, I'm sure.
More ingredients than space?
If a recipe calls for more than 10 ingredients is there a way for a user to make the form larger in the recipe tool? So far both of my submissions have fit perfectly, but if I decide to get fancier I may need more!
Re: More ingredients than space?
Submit the recipe, then go back and edit it. You'll get 10 more blanks.
Do we really cook anything with more than 10 ingredients? :-)
