Hey all.

So we're taking the little guy on his first plane ride this thursday and we're planning on calling a taxi to get us to the airport. We were going to bring our car seat and hook it up in the taxi.

Why am I telling you this you ask?

Because I'd love to hear from anybody who has done this who might know some way to make things easier. I'd also like to know if anyone has a recommendation for a reputable cab company.

Hear are the problems I see with our plan as it stands:

1. Will the taxi even have working seat belts in the back seat? I was going to call ahead to make sure, but who knows if the right car will come.

2. Lugging the thing around.

3. It's another checked bag. Which means another $15-$25 in fees.

4. Now we are going to need it for our rental car when we arrive. Alternatively, I know you can rent a car seat but I don't know if it will be safe.

Help?
