Anybody out there know of any legit work from home opportunities? I have been looking for something to supplement my income, but have been leary of the ones that I have found. Any tips or websites, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I have been making some pretty good money selling junk on EBAY. You would be suprised with some of the things people will buy. If you don't think you have anything to sell just look in your closet. The way kids grow out of clothes you can make some pretty good money off of them.Used Abercrombie, Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle clothes sell real good as long as they are in good condition. Raid your wifes closet and sell the shoes she does not wear any more. Just don't let her catch you!
I've got balls enough to do this job and admit to it at the local hockey rink, but even I don't have the huevos to sell the wife's shoes. Besides, with my luck we'd wind up in a bidding war and my wife would wind up winning!
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.
I think the key answering to this question (it comes up a lot) is to focus on "what kind of things can I do?", "what do I like to do?", etc. Rather than starting with the "at home" issue. You don't necessarily have to wait for someone to create a job for you, you can make your own. There are a lot of things that can be restructured to provide at least a small income at home, during small bits of free time, etc. Take a look at your skills, interests, etc, then see if you can adjust the "normal" versions of those things to fit your restrictions. That approach, I think, is a lot more likely to turn up something that's likely to be enjoyable (or at least tolerable, rather than draining) and legit (i.e. not another "work at home" scam).
Go out and do handyman stuff one night a week?
Computer/web work?
Part time lawyering (write up a will or look over a contract once in a while)?
Make some product that you care about and sell a few of them?
Fix/improve stuff on your house so that you don't have to hire someone?
I don't know what your background is, but you get the idea.
Not a specifc answer....just another way to look at the issue.

I even got to the point of buying wholesale and reselling, but I found the profit margins were so slim, I had to move a huge ton of stuff just to make a bit of money.
I make $30-75/hr. now as an in-home tutor, working only weekends and summers. I also did it remotely for Tutor.com, which is good if you want a night gig, although the pay is only low to mid-teens/hr.
Tutoring has pretty much been recession resistant, because parents are increasingly paranoid their cherubs won't make it into Harvard.

I am playing around with plant propogation. It will take some fine tuning and time but I believe eventually I will be able to sell plants. I enjoy gardening but have a long way to go.

phaze-3,
I read that there are a lot of better options available for online tutoring than tutor.com; although I haven't done the research yet myself. Do you have any experience with other companies? Or recommendations on how to get started with tutoring?
