Need Wii Suggestions

Well I just hooked up our new Wii.  Actually bought it for my wife (she asked for one).  I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for games/programs for a 3.5 year old girl.  Winters are long here in Wisconsin, so it might be a nice disctraction.  If it is educational, then even better.  I am not looking to plant her in front of the TV for hours, but rather offer her (and soon her sister who is only 2) another indoor option.

Maybe 3.5 is too young for Wii.  If you think so, it would be good to know also.  Thanks

There is a Diego game that you might look at.   My (4 y/o) daughter didn't really like it, but it seems like one of the few that is made for smaller kids.   The controls are relatively easy and there's no way for your character to "die".   You might also consider Wii Music.   It has some modes where you basically just press buttons, etc and it plays music.

dora

I heard the Dora game (Ice princess I think) is very easy for 2 and up to play. Also my 4 yr old son absolutely loves Mario Kart. He can't drive to well but you can play two player with them and have a blast yourself.

Wii

If you can, get the wiii fit board. All the kids love it and the youngest (5) loves doing the yoga. Rayman Ravin rabidds is fun for all. The first one and second are fairly cheep now. You need the wii board for the third. Also the wii sports is enjoyed by all. All the Mario games are fun but can be difficult for younger kids and I don't like the way they have the looser bow their head in disgrace. Hope this helps.

Might still be young but...

My daughter is 5.

She loves playing the tennis and baseball on the Wii Sports.

Also likes the Carnival games.

Again, yours might still be a tad young. I find the character games rely too heavily on the character, rather than the content.

Lego games rock

I've found that as far as smaller kids go, the best Wii games are the Lego games, like Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones 1& 2, and (the best) Lego Star Wars.  The "educational" factor is low, but the games are surprisingly well made and fun for adults as well as kids.  And although your character can get disassembled, another one appears immediately, allowing you to continue, so the game is never truly over until you turn it off.  Lego Harry Potter just came out, though it's a bit pricey at the moment.

So why don't they call it mooching when the wife stays home?

My 4 year old is really good

My 4 year old is really good at the sword fighting on wii resort. you pretty much just swing the remote around. He also likes the drums on Guitar Hero World Tour, but for that we put it on the lowest setting and I hit all the notes with the bass pedal, but he has a blast banging away on the drums :) All my kids enjoy singing on GHWT. On the low setting its pretty easy.  as said above wii sports is allways good, and wii play as well.  It has a cow racing game on it that most kids seem to enjoy. hope that helps. Cant wait to see what others post. I'm allways looking for a good game to play with the kids
