Florida Bound for USA Volleyball Training Program

I'll be in the Ft. Lauderdale area from July 15th to July 26th with our youngest son, Matt.  

Matt (15), has been invited to participate in the USA 2009 High Performance Boy's Indoor Volleyball A-1 Select Program.                                                                 He'll be training for five days and then play in a tournament.  If he plays well, next year he'll compete for a spot on the USA Boy's Youth National Team.

Any suggestions on sites to see and things to do?  

Any dads with playgroups in the area?  Even though I'll be without child, it will be nice to visit with other at-home dads and their kids.  

Jim, how far are you from Ft. Lauderdale?

Anyone know of Jay Massey and if he lives near the Ft. Lauderdale area?

If I Had The Extra Cash

I would if I could.  I'm sure we'd have a blast.  

No.  Same son.  The Atlanta volleyball trip is for the Junior Olympics Tournament from July 3rd to 9th.  Then we come home for a week and off to Florida.  

Grant plays in the AVP Beach Tour.  I'll miss one of his AVP Qualifier Tournaments.
