This Thursday is the day I tried to get 20 group tix for Chicago Dads dudes. Last Friday I went to Wrigley itself to avooid the $5 convenience fee for each ticket. There were 10 $11 tix available Thursday night, then 8 Friday morning, then 6 when I got there. Point being, I have one extra ticket if anyone with a kid under two is interested. Otherwise, there are still seats available in other parts of Wrigley. I tried to get pairs in our section (517) but there were none. I'm looking at it as spring training for me taking two kids to the ballpark by myself--to see how long they last. I'd love it if anyone else could make it; I did my best to get as many tix as possible.
I will post a playgroup suggestion other than Wrigley sometime tomorrow. Suggestions are welcome. And even though I'm a Cubs fan, I will happily be taking my kids to John's Sox game suggestion. Let's get on that before those tix vanish too.

Sox alternative for Playgroup?
A Sox game sounds great, but I don't think we can committ to an all-day event. Is there an alternative for playgroup? Say Holstein Park again for the rain checkers?
Sox Game / Playgroup Organisers
the Sox game on 6/11 is at 1:05pm so playgroup can happen as normal that day.
any volunteers to organise playgroups in May and June?
thanks
Playgroup Confusion
Sorry I was talking about tomorrow. Not the Sox game in June. I'm confused. It's one of those weeks.
suggestion - margate park
how about margate park for tomorrow then?
not too far from Wrigley and the weather should be good enough
Conveniently located close to a lot of Vietnamese food it's right off LSD at Foster Avenue. The park has a large newer playlot and a parking lot. It's also just a half mile from the RedLine Argyll stop. The street address is 4921 N Marine Drive, 60640

Siding with Margate
Since you guys are the only ones who suggested anything, and technically I said I'd organize April, allow me to play arbiter between the two parks. Holstein is no doubt the most popular, especially from the good turnout last week. Coming home today I was actually thinking about both parks. I was going to go with Holstein but since John recommended beautiful Margate, righ tby the lake on what's going to be the nicest day yet (supposed to be mid 60's and cloudless), and more importantly, since he's on his own with all Lilroys now that Cora's back to work, I'm going to have to side with John and Margate Park. My role as arbiter may mean nothing to everyone but unless I hear otherwise i.e. vitriolic refusal from Shawn, I'm going to make a new Margate post for tomorrow int he next hour or so.
Rob-Go Cubs-I still have one ticket for any dad with a kid that can pass for being under two years old. $11. Setion 517 row 4.
Fine with Margate
Ugh, Margate... far. That's about as vitriolic as I'm going to get. We have a class till 11 or so. We might still try and make it. Probably closer to noon.
