Well, that was unenlightened. After arriving at the Shedd today, we were dismayed to see the longest line ever. The estimated wait to get into the Shedd was 2+ hours. The line snaked all the way back to the Field Museum and doubled back onto itself. Needless to say, we bailed. And then it began raining.
So, I'm rethinking whether to meet there Thursday. It will be a madhouse inside even if you do manage to get in. Thoughts or ideas on alternatives?
the shedd isn't a great playgroup venue - even when it is free areas like the oceanarium require a ticket and what is accessible isn't really playgroup friendly.
How about - Garfield Park - we can go outside if it is not raining.
or - Children's Zoo - we can meet across the road at Cummins Playlot if it is dry
not as accessible - Art Institute - the new education centre is always free and has lots of books and games, floor puzzles and stuff. We can go to Millennium Park if it is too dry indoors
Thanks for taking one for the team to find out that the Shedd is a bad idea this week. I just logged on to ask how it was because I was thinking about going today.
I'd like to suggest Senn Park for when the weather is more predictable. It has a fountain and a splashing pool and a lot of playground stuff.
Heading to Shedd today

Pet Store?
We could go to the pet store and look at fish.
Thanks and Senn
