Week of June 29 to July 5th

Hi all,

A Dad's Night Out is an idea, thanks Ariel. Maybe one of the pubs along

Lincoln. What nights are good for everyone so we can plan one of those?

As for Pierce and Dad, Inc. we're headed to beautiful Estes Park, Colorado

this week, so it'll be fun in the mountains with Mom taking the lead (yes!).

Here are some ideas for activities for the week while we're gone:

If it's sunny and beautiful like it's been:

Rivers Park should be opening this week - Zero depth pool!!

Family Festival at the Kids Tent in Millenium Park is a blast from 10am-3pm

every day this summer. Recommend it for ages 1 to 5 probably. Best part is

you avoid the Taste if you go to this tent, it's right next to the bean.

That and the beaches are great. We've been going to North Avenue Beach,

Foster Beach, and sometimes Evanston (have to pay for that one).

Bill reminded me to check the air and water quality, so I have them on

quick links at:

More ideas if it rains:

New Shedd Aquarium Kids Area (Ages Unknown)

Kohl's Children's Museum in Glenview (0-5 years old, but ya gotta get there)

Spertus Museum downtown is a hidden gem (2-5 years old)

We do not leave for Colorado until Wednesday, and we're planning

on these activities for Tuesday:

AM (Millenium Park Kids Tent - 9am - 10:30am)

PM (Rivers Park Water Park 330-430pm)

Please let us know if you'd like to join us for any of these.  Take care all,

Chris
