When the rugrats go down for their mid-afternoon nap, or your older kids start wondering what they can do...I pull out the scale models.  ~evil grin~.

Anybody else build model kits?

It Is Something

that I am looking forward to when my twins get older.  Right now they are 3 1/2 and not completely ready for this craft/activity however, when they get older I am planning on going to a hobby store or somewhere that they sell models and teach my children how to build them.  I remember I had snap togethers first and then the ones you glue later on as I got older.  Hope the snap togethers still exist.

They do...provided you can

They do...provided you can find a hobby shop nearby.  That's the rub.  At one point we had 9 hobby shops in the Metro Vancouver area.  With the advent of on-line purchasing, we're now down to three.  One in North Van, One in Vancouver - Kerrisdale, and the other in Burnaby.  Not much of a choice.
