The subject says it all....

-At what age did your kids learn to tie their (regular tie) shoes?

-Do you have any suggestions or techniques for helping them learn?

We are making a little progress, but I'd welcome any good ideas....

Thanks!

How about the correct feet?

I would be just as interested in how you get them to put their shoes on the correct feet.  Seems like it should be a 50/50 chance, yet I would say they are on the wrong feet closer to 80% of the time if not more.  It is so frustrating that my kids can't even abide by the laws of chance.

I have a 4 and 2 year old and they wear velcro strap shoes still, so no help on the shoe tying, but any tips on getting the shoes on the correct feet would be great.

Right feet

I had good luck by telling them "put the curvy sides together"

L and R

Last Winter I got a sharpie and put "L" and "R" on my son's boots. Did no good whatsoever.

Feet

Maybe you need to put the letters on his feet so he can match them with the boots...  :-)
