Hello, I'm new here from Nebraska. I was browsing around and came across the At-Home Dads Convention in Omaha and subsequently this website. I have been staying home with my son Jupiter for ever since my wife went back to work off of maternity leave in March this year. He is 10 months old now. Jupiter and I make a pretty good team, but I thought I would join this site to get some perspective from others as well. I registered to attend the convention, and am looking forward to that too.

I want to welcome you to the group here and our local group of the Lin Oma Dads. I am one of the Omaha dads and look forward to meeting you soon. We are actually going to be in Lincoln Friday morning for play group. Do not know if 10:00 am works for Jupiter however, I believe we are going to be at the zoo and hope that you may be able to join us there. Additionally looking forward to having you with us at the convention as well. Also so that you know, our September Dads Night Out is on the 30th and will be at the Fox & Hound Sports Grill at 175th and West Center here in Omaha. We get together at roughly 7:30 pm for a couple of hours. If you are able to make it there, it would be awesome to have you join us. Glad to have you aboard.

chitownman: That sounds like fun, but my wife and I are going to St. Louis for the weekend and leaving around noon on Friday. On the 30th I have plans with my wife to see the Red Elvises at Knickerbockers, but I am definitely interested in it in the future. I look forward to meeting with you at the convention if not before.
