Colorado Style Biscuits and Gravy

Description

A great foundation to start a busy day in the cold!

Ingredients

  • 1 pk of 8 buttermilk biscuits
  • 4 c Milk
  • 4 T flour
  • 3⁄4 lb sausage (fatty sausage works best for this)

Instructions

Prepare biscuits as instructed on package. Brown sausage in skillet. As soon as sausage is completely brown, turn to medium heat. Add flour by the tablespoon, stirring constantly. Let the flour turn BROWN before adding another tablespoon (if you don't, your gravy will taste like flour). After you have added enough flour to mske the gravy as thick as you like, add milk and stir with whisk. 1 serving = 2 biscuits with sausage gravy.

Notes

Do not eat this if you plan to be sedentary for the day as you may turn into a doughboy because of inactivity!

Whew, I saw "Colorado" in the title and got worried for a moment there that Rockey Mountain Oysters were gonna be a featured ingredient....
