Hello everyone,

 

I have been a part time stay at/work from home dad since my daughter, Aviva,  was born (just about) 2 years ago. Recently the "work from" has gone away and I find myself with three days a week with Aviva all to myself. We have been enjoying the time together and have been going out to the local playgrounds and nature centers every day without rain.  I would love to introduce Aviva to some other children her age. Any NOVA dads out there that can recommend a playgroup or would like to meet at a playground?

Hi Rami, Welcome!

Rami, way to go jumping in and looking for a group, there is a NOVA Dads playgroup that meets regularly in the area.  They playgroup alternates between two member's homes, one in the City of Alexandria, and one in Arlington.  They also plan outings to local parks and area attractions and there is also a member in the Springfield area that occasionally hosts the palygroup is I'm not mistaken.

You can get more info at our Yahoo group we use for group memberships and for communications for playgroups and activity panning.  The NOVA Dads are part of the main group; http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dcmetrodads we also have several chapters set up throughout the DC Metro area.  We would love to have you as part of the group, I think you would get a great deal out of it.  The NOVA Dads are always looking for new members and some of the guys from other chapters attend occasionally as well.  And we also plan group wide outings as well, although we haven't had one in a little while.
