As an AtHomeDad you try to be in touch with anything and everything kid, right?

I have posted to my Blog an article about something I have noticed as of late.

Am I reading too much into this or are you getting the vibe as well?

I know exactly what you mean

I know exactly what you mean and yes, it's because your spidey-sense is atuned to all things kid. You almost certainly didn't notice it before you were bitten by that radioactive child of yours and gained SuperDad powers.

But the interesting question is: what do you do about it? It's like one of those modern etiquette questions. Do you engage with the child and risk the wrath of the unseen parent? And if you feel something’s amiss, what can you do?

It also works the other way too – what do you do when you see a kid doing something wrong? Say stealing that toy, or taking it from another kid? You notice the same swivelling eyes then – as if the child senses that you have x-ray vision and that you have the natural authority to deal with it – but can you get involved?
I suppose the question is do you, as a parent have a moral obligation to look out for other people's kids?

In An Ideal World

Yes I would watch out for other kids and do, all too often at the playground.

But out in public around town and the big city, it gets more tricky and I have to watch out for numbers 1 and 1.5 first.

I can't, nor should I have to, be the keeper of all or the bad ass - dad ass.
