Hello my name is Anthony and I am a new sahd in Pasadena md. I am new to this obviously and I'm a little nurvious about it. I am a US Army sergeant and former firefighter/emt. Once my wife goes back to work I'm just looking for a playgroup/support for my son and I and maybe some guys to hang out with from time to time as I am new to the md area and don't have many friends. Any help or comments would be appriciated!

There is a group near you if you are looking for other stay at home dads in your neck of the woods, as Al Roker says. There is a chapter of Daddyshome and DC Metro Dads in PG County called Bowie-Annapolis Dads. They have playgroups twice a week to give dads and kids more options and meet either at local parks when the weather is nice, in the Annapolis Mall when it's not and at member's homes.
The head of the chapter is Marcus Zumwalt and he uses both the DC Metro Dads Yahoo group and his own email list to post messages about their outings. The Bowie/Annapolis dads are a vey active gorup and is always welcoming new members. Hello Anthony, welcome and thanks for your services. I was also was a firefighter /emt. That was about 30 yrs ago for a couple of years. Relocated and did not get on with another dept.
