There was a half-page spread with pictures describing all the mom bloggers and one line about the dads "(Dads, we've got a Dad Team blog, too!)." I am not surprised by it or disappointed, but, again, this is where YOU can come in. If at-home dads and dads in general want to be taken seriously as active, involved parents, we MUST become actively involved in the community at-large. Communicating among ourselves on sites such as this are important, but we MUST expand to the community. We MUST let our communities know that we matter.

So, I encourage you to be involved in this community at www.momaha.com and on their Facebook page. Make comments to the blogs by the dads AND moms. Let moms know that there are dads out their who not only love their child, but may even know a thing or two about parenting that moms DON'T know.

If you want to stop being called Mr. Mom, stop seeing TV shows and commercials who make dads look like dopes when it comes to their children or chores around the house, you MUST speak up. You MUST set the community straight on what the reality of your life is not what their perception is of it. And, this new website is a small opportunity to do just that.
