For anyone looking at flights to the 12th annual At-Home Dad's Convention November 3rd in Kansas City, I just booked mine on Frontier(Sacramento to KC), and it was $200 cheaper than anyone else. Even Southwest was considerably more expensive.

Convention details will be released in the next week or so, as we are waiting to hear from our last scheduled speakers, but wanted to give the heads up on flight deals.

Try to arrive Thursday...

As you make your plans, keep in mind that convention related activities will start on Thursday 11/1. KCDADs will have its monthly Dad's Night Out on 11/1 to welcome Thursday arrivals: dinner at The Yard House (www.yardhouse.com) in the new entertainment district west of town (www.legendsshopping.com), with possible bowling afterwards at a new bowling alley/night-club/martini bar next door to the restaurant (www.pinupbowl.com). There will be various activities Friday including a tour of the KC Harley-Davidson assembly plant and the "official" beginning to the convention at the evening "Meet & Greet" in the private tasting room at Boulevard Brewery in downtown KC (6-8 pm).

Any Friday night dinner plans?

Are their going to be dinner plans for Friday night after the brewery meet and great? Last year some of us went to Manny's and had a great time. I was just wondering if you were planning a scheduled dinner or just let people do whatever they wanted to do?

Random Dinner

I liked the random dinner after the brewery where people met and then took off someplace. We'll be scheduled the rest of the weekend so lets just have some disorganization this one time. :)

Dinner included at Boulevard

Due to popular demand from last year's surveys, dinner will be included at Boulevard (the event runs from 6-8 this year)...but I'm assuming people will still fan-out in different smaller groups to different locations after. Plenty of opportunity for disorganization :-)

Don't hold me to it yet, but dinner is likely to be a fajita bar...I'm still working out the the details.
