Whats up to all SAHD's

I just stooped in to say hi and thank God I found this site, I just found it today by google search and realy didn't need it until now. My wife and I decided not to do the day care thing and we (she) decided that me only working part time and being an AHD was best. We are both nurses but she makes more money so it only made sense. I'm glad that something like this exists for us Dads, that for what ever reasons are staying at home, to come to and vent and share what is going on in our lives so that others can learn and take some comfort knowing that someone else is going through the same things. My daughter is 4 months old and it took me this long to swallow my pride and accept the fact of what I now am, a SAHD, and I'm realy starting to love it, I look forward to talking with all the Dads here in the near future.

My wife is a school teacher.  Three boys, 22, 20 and 16.  Almost empty nest.

Great to hear that you're "starting to love it," and look forward to chatting about all kinds of dad stuff.  I'm new here too, and I have to say this board seems wonderful but a little under-populated... so let's all populate it!

I feel the same way

I'm a new SAHD and had my own struggles when I started.  Finding this website was a great thing for me.  It's great to know that every single SAHD out there has so much in common.  We all struggle with our own pride.  We all feel a little overwhelmed sometimes.  What a huge relief to find out I'm not the only one.  After finding this site, I've probably become a better dad and husband.  I was a little resentful of my working wife every once in a while, but after finding out that's normal, I've been a little more easy going.  Anyway, welcome.  Thanks for making this site so helpful.

Hello!  I just posted my

Hello!  I just posted my introduction as well.  I'm a new at home dad as well- and this is a big change for me also!  I've always worked during the day.  I'm looking forward to being with my kids though- especially once the weather improves.  I wanted to say though- I've returned to school and have 2 years left of clinicals to get my degree in nursing!  Nice to see another ahd who also is in nursing!  Nice to meet you!
