Thurs Feb 18 playgroup: Chicago Auto Show @ McCormick Place

Okay, so this is not your usual playgroup meetup. But I'm all for trying new stuff, and the show is in town this week. The good thing is aside from heinous parking fees ($19 if you park in a McCormick lot), the show itself is relatively cheap. All kids 6 and under are free. Strollers are allowed, and most of the vehicles are unlocked. On Thursday if you bring 3 cans of food, admission for adults is only $7 (normally $11).

Tips:

If you want save on parking fees, there's regular metered street parking nearby just to the west on King Drive. There's also street parking on Michigan and Wabash a few blocks west. You can also catch the King Drive (#3) CTA bus from Michigan Avenue downtown. The closest Red Line stop is the Chinatown stop at Cermak, about a 15 minute walk to McCormick.

Doors open at 10AM.

The show is huge, over 1000 vehicles on display. We'll be checking out minivans and SUVs. As always feel free to call me at 773-596-9612 if you want to try and rendezvous on the show floor. Otherwise happy galavanting and I look forward to seeing your toddler putting their fingerprints all over a Maserati. :)

sorry for late notice

We were really looking forward to the show and meeting more folks but it's not going to work out today.
