Hey guys,
I'm the coordinator of Pasadena Dads. We meet at a park in the San Gabriel Valley every Tuesday and have an occasional DNO. Will come to one of your events sometime this summer if there are any playdates, etc., happening. Let me know.
Thanks, Jim

New stay at home dad
Hi all,
I'm new to all of this and am having a hard time being a stay at home dad to my 3 1/2 month old son. Any meetings coming up or words of encouragement?
Let me know.
Mike
Groups in Orange County and Pasadena
Mike,
There are established playgroups in Orange County and in Pasadena.
Here's the OC Dads homepage: www.ocdads.org
Pasadena Dads meets every Tuesday morning from 9:30-12ish at a park and once a month for a Dad's Night Out (DNO). Tonight (Wednesday) we're meeting at The Oinkster in Eagle Rock from 8-10PM. They have good food (and lots of meat) and beer. Address is 2005 Colorado Blvd.and the telephone # is 323.255.OINK. If you are coming tonight or to a playgroup, call me at 626.646.9634 and I'll look out for you.
You can join Pasadena Dads through this site. We have one new dad in playgroup with a 5 month-old.
I would also suggest emailing some of the dads in this group and see if anyone wants to meet at a park, coffeeshop, mall, etc. Getting out of the house with the baby and talking to some adults will keep you sane. Most movie theaters also have morning shows of first-run movies with the volume turned down that you can take a baby to.
I found that parenting was much more fun after the first 6 months. Hang in there!
