Dads,Who turned on the heat? The kids and I scouted out a great park in NW Pasadena that today that has 3 play structures, a library, AND a concrete area with an assortment of sprinkler devices that splash hot kids. What more does a dad need (besides a nap)?
The water play area didn't turn on until 11am on Sunday. Let's hope it is earlier on weekdays. I'll try to find out by calling the city tomorrow. Regardless, bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. There is also a skateboard park, so maybe Ian can show us a few tricks. There are usually dads at playgroup from 9:30-12:00. There are a few new dads on the list, so keep an eye out for them. James, Evelyn and I should be there by 10:30.
La Pintoresca Park's address is 45 East Washington Blvd (at the corner of Raymond Ave. and Washington Blvd.) The best place to park is on Raymond Avenue. The parking lot is for library patrons only.
I've also Google mapped almost all of the parks, including La Pintoresca, we've met at over the past two years. The name of the map is "Pasadena Dads Playgroup Map." Let me know what you think.http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
