Although different from your normal soup, this is a really good soup.
Brown the sausage. Add onions and mushrooms for 2 minutes at the end (I usually add the liquid from the mushrooms to the soup instead of draining it). In a pan or crock pot add all remaining ingredients except for the cheese. Stir together. Add water as needed. Cover pan and simmer for 20 minutes. In a crock pot cook for 2-4 hours on high. Serve in bowls, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
You can take away any pizza toppings you don't like from the list of ingredients and add any you like.
