I'd like to put together a forum dealing with all of the things that a regular family and stay at home mom has to deal with. But this time it's with a twist. It's not just for moms or dads but for the men that are often not a part of the situation from the very start.

Raven City Dads & Stepdads

New Maryland sahd
Hello my name is Anthony and I am a new sahd in Pasadena md. I am new to this obviously and I'm a little nurvious about it. I am a US Army sergeant and former firefighter/emt. Once my wife goes back to work I'm just looking for a playgroup/support for my son and I and maybe some guys to hang out with from time to time as I am new to the md area and don't have many friends. Any help or comments would be appriciated!
Dads Against Media Images Of Child Brutality
I am very concerned over Hollywood's passivity regarding the increasing amount of child brutality portrayed in movies. One example lies in the film Mirrors, as it portrays two children being tormented with death - one child's throat is cut, and the other loses consciousness through suffocation underwater. Similarly in The Mist, the main character shoots and kills his son to prevent a worse fate at the hands of giant prehistoric insects. Soon afterward, he discovers the insects were all an illusion, yet his son is still dead.

Hello from Maryland

Hello All,
I am just signing up and probably way over due but I'll save that for the forum page.
Been a SAHD (plus running a home business) since 2001 with my two girls, 13 and 10 now. My wife (married 14 years) is climbing the corporate ladder and busier than ever. My son (from my first marriage) spent his days in daycare and is 21, he is doing great and in the US Navy.
I look forward to hearing some stories and advice as everyday is a new day, along with new challenges.
Thanks,
Bill
