A loose network of SAHDs mostly with preschool age kids

Hi everybody! First of all I have to say I'm impressed with all of the daddy interaction I've seen on this site. I've run across SAHD blogs before while in my own blog ramblings and was saddened by all the faded out and dead SAHD blogs I ran across and had given up hope. Then I actually took some time to search for some good sites and found a few that made me feel that I am not alone in this adventure.

HELLO FROM A NEWBIE. HAVE BEEN A SAHD FOR 5 YRS NOW AND JUST DISCOVERED THIS SITE...HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS STAYING HOME AS MUCH AS I DO

I AM NEW TO THIS SITE, BUT HAVE BEEN A SAHD FOR 5 YEARS NOW. HAVE 5 AND 3 YR OLD BOYS. LOOKING FOR OTHER DADS IN THE AREA TO JOIN IN BREAKING UP THE STATUS QUO AND TO TAKE "FIELD TRIPS" AND JOIN IN ON PLAY DATES.

Ok, I use a newly washed washcloth every morning to wipe up the kids after breakfast, always rinsing it out with hot water, then I try and use that same washcloth for the day, but by dinner time it stinks so bad, if you even touch it, your hand smells awful. What's up with that?? Anyone have a solution?

So, now that school is out, and my daughter will be home all day instead of just half days, I'm renegotiating my sahd contract. :) Does anyone else get some kind of allowance from your working spouses income for some personal money?

Hey everyone, just found this site and thought I'd check it out. I've been at home for almost 3 years. I have one 6 year old girl and one 15 month old girl. Married for 8 years to a CPA who wouldn't ever consider leaving her job to stay at home, so here I am! I used to be in computer networking, then had a retail store and closed it about 3 years ago to stay at home with my daughter, then decided to have another..(what was I thinking???)

Surely I'm not the only at home dad in Ann Arbor ! ?

I finally decided to jump in and join the fun. I have been an at home dad for 4 years. I have a 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son. I wanted to introduce myself and actually say "Thanks" . There have been many a times that reading the posts on here, have gotten me through a rough spot. I probably should of joined in before now, but I guess better late then never.

This is a group for any Stay at home dads in the Grand Rapids MI area. The role of being a SAHD is hard by yourself but it can be made easier when you and your kids spent time with others. We will have weekly playgroups that will go to parks, the zoo, Meijer gardens, Childrens Museums, mall play areas and whatever else we can think of plus there will be a Dads Night out at least once a month.
